Feature request: Multi-line input element

First of all, thank you for the amazing project!

For a project that I am working on, I need to accept multi-line input from the terminal for a chat-like application. I look for rich features support like changing previously inputted lines, shift+left/right select and replacement of text.

If this is already possible with the existing components, would like to learn how!
