Change the resolution of the picture?

I can't change the size of the image when using takePicture.
Changing imageCaptureTargetSize modifies it a little but it's not enough because changing it makes the phone slow down.

With this code, which is deprecated, it lists the supported formats and I don't understand why my images are in a format that isn't in the list.

In the end, it's very simple - you just need to change the size of the view. I've modified it and it works.
I don't understand what imageCaptureTargetSize does then?
