What's wrong?

Keyboard frequently stops working for anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes when the battery charge percentage is ABOVE the set charge limit. Bug has been confirmed on multiple ROG and TUF laptops

How to reproduce the bug?

  1. set charge limit to below current battery charge
  2. bug will appear randomly. Unsure how to repeat it reliably

@gabby123kl hello,

As for charge limit: please make yourself familiar with the FAQ

Battery charge limiter is not working
It could be that Asus services are overwriting this limit after. You can stop them from Extra settings by clicking Stop button. Some models support only 80% limit, so try to set exactly 80% to be sure.

After restart, BIOS resets all settings to defaults, including charge limit. As soon as you log in and G-Helper starts it would apply charge limit again. Before app starting - your laptop may keep charging. This is normal and this is how things are.

You have Asus services running, that simply override the limit.

As for keyboard: some model's keyboards like old G16 or M16 may randomly become unresponsive if keyboard color is changed too often (no matter what app changes color - AC or G-Helper or anything else). It's a firmware issue.

I see that you use Ambient backlight, that by definition changes color based on screen contents. Just change mode to anything else - and you will be fine.

Thanks.
