@galax20002 hello, I see that you have This turns backlight off as levels go 0 -> 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 0 (again) :
Is this the reason? Then either don't press F11 or if you use this key for something else, turn off Besides that I don't see G-Helper turning backlight in other circumstances. Do you have any leftovers form AC running by any chance, that can interfere? Did you use official AC uninstaller tool ? Thanks |
hi. i didnt uninstalled ac yet. i press f11 because thats the backlight key to turn it back on, it has 3 brightness steps. when the keyboard turns off, i press the key and it shows off (assuming it was still set to on) and then i press it again until its set to max. thats all i do. the only reason why i have ac installed is the asus aura function but ghelper overwrites everything and turning off rgb control in ghelper isnt possible. i can turn off fn lock and test it but i like to have fn lock i dont need the f keys |
@galax20002 hello, If Aura service is still running, there is a very high chance that it also adjusts backlight causing conflicts. So you shouldn't be using 2 programs at the same time for the same thing. I see that you use
G-Helper would (obviously) set different backlight mode when you select it in the app. If you (by some reason) want to use Aura to control backlight - you can still do so. Then select any other backlight mode in G-Helper than Ambient (like simple Static) . You can also completely disable all RGB / Aura init on app start by setting it in the config. Thanks |
@galax20002 any updates here ? Does changing backlight mode from |

What's wrong?
ok how to explain? the rgb light from my keyboard sometimes just shuts off from nowhere. its completly random and this only happens when g helper is running. the leds will shut down and i can turn them on again and then they either turn off within seconds or after one minute or it keeps on for hours. the light strip on the back sometimes defaults back to the stock rainbow mode and wont change. i disabled all services except asus system analytics because its needed to controll the fans. disabling makes the fan running full speed
How to reproduce the bug?
simply using it it doesnt matter what you do and how you use it
