Problem description:

Until before the last update (1.24.1), the search could be activated with the search shortcut, now, I necessarily have to open a file for the search to work, please help. This plugin has become a real necessity.

Thank you!!

The vault search modal should be openable from anywhere. The in-file search only works when you're in a markdown file, which is the expected behavior

That's exactly the problem, (I never say in-file search), the vault search mode is not activated with the shortcut as was the case previously. Now you need to open a note for the vault search shortcut work normally.
I already uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin and it still doesn't work.

I'm still waiting help =S

🤷‍♂️ It's still working as expected for me.

If you open the command palette from anywhere within Obsidian, the vault search should be accessible

Similarly, there is a setting to add a ribbon icon to open the vault search

If it's not working for you, could you open the developer tools (ctrl+shift+i), restart Obsidian, and copy-paste Omnisearch errors that might be present?

I'm not a programmer but I understood your suggestion, this is what appears in the "console" section:
omnisearch_fail_01

I really appreciate your help, thank you!

Please answer these questions

  • Omnisearch version:
  • Obsidian version:
  • Operating system:

Things to try:

  • Does the problem occur when Omnisearch is the only active community plugin:
  • Does the problem occur when you don't index PDFs, images, or other non-notes files:
  • Does the problem occur after a cache reset:
