I like the idea of edn, but I don't use it. I am willing to merge a high-quality PR with tests adding edn support.

You may be interested in this new tool: https://github.com/borkdude/jet. It is written in Clojure, has native binaries for releases, and can turn JSON keys into EDN keywords.
