Describe the bug
When the tab bar is scrolled to the left any amount (so the right arrow button is not greyed out), it seems like there is a fade out effect or something which actually blocks focus to the close button. As a result, it is only possible to click the close button on the last visible tab by hovering over a couple of pixels at the left edge of the button (or scrolling the tab bar along, so it's not at the right edge).
Screenshots
This is what it looks like when my cursor is hovering over the right edge of the tab (i.e. in the middle of the close button).
Instead, the tab should appear focused with the close button visible.
Setup information
OS: Ubuntu 20.04
Installation method: git
Firefox version: 108
