As far as I understand, the library does not have a function to set an application icon. Are there any plans to implement this?

Application icon is supported via a bundler for Windows and macOS. For GTK and QT, you use webview.start(icon=icon_path), but you might need some additional magic to get your icon visible depending on what window manager you use.
