I hope not, I've been eagerly awaiting it for years now. None of that AI Image gen stuff really is a true replacement for this.

V4.5 is basically unusable for anything serious simply because it doesn't have a good way to create and save color pallets to choose from. I would be happy if V5 was overall better too but proper management of color swatches is the only thing i really need to at least enjoy and get real use out of this project. I hope a release or at least a beta release comes soon.

I think the guy is busy with foocus, but I wish v5 hadnt been delayed to oblivion and that we could have seen the true node based system.
