add to component locale during runtime (v8)?

Is it possible to add to the component locale during runtime? such as via the onMount? instead of just adding in the locale static inline?
Similar to the mergeLocaleMessage() but for the component level.
As when i use mergeLocaleMessage() it adds it to the global locale for that lang, which then gets overwritten by the default lang on the component level, so it wont work.
