The font-weight of documents appears significantly bolder when using dark mode. Additionally, checking "Invert Colors in Dark Mode" strangely fixes the font weight, but the text becomes more jagged than the text in light mode.

The aliasing issue is easier to see at smaller scales:

The behavior persists whether I run foliate prefixed by GDK_BACKEND=x11 or not.
