Capacitor plugin wrapper for an android app

Hi there,
I was wondering if it is possible to create a capacitor plugin for an open source Android project?
I'd like to use https://github.com/moneytoo/Player in my app. I've tried without success and my knowledge of the Android world is very limited. So before I spend hours trying to do something that isn't possible, I'd rather ask.

I've even tried to add a simpler lib with instructions: https://github.com/vkay94/DoubleTapPlayerView to https://github.com/wako-app/capacitor-video-player, but also without success. I'm pretty sure it can be done.
