i have successfully converted a couple japanese dictionaries from mdx to kobo dicthtml format. But whenever i highlight a kanji word in a book it gives no definitions found but i can get results when i just highlight a word that is in kana. I can also search in the dictionary and get results. I do currently have one converted dictionary that is working as intented so i know that it can work, Is there any way to fix this?

Please upload your source dictionary file.

Are you using the kobo's dictionary program?
Can you upload a screenshot of the problem?

When you say kobo´s dictionary program you mean the standard one on stock os? If thats what you mean, yes i am. When i select a word i get no definitions but when i search in the dictionary the word pop up and i get same thing no definition. I have converted the dictionaries a few times before but there have been times where i could only get results in the dictionary when it came as a suggestion and the kanji were in brackets like this じぶん【自分】

I have tried using koreader and the dictionaries worked flawlessly over there but i really prefer reading in vertical view and the fix for that was a little to janky for my taste. But the dictionaries could recognize a whole word which is not working on standard os. I always have to try a couple times for the device to actually open the dictionary and not highlight a word, is that also the fault of the conversion?
