TTS to HomePods Not Working with pyatv15

The problem

Text-to-speech via HomePod stopped working in 2024.9.0, with pyatv being upgraded to 15 from 14.3.

I reverted pyatv back to 14.3 in 2024.9.0 and TTS via HomePod worked again.

did you also try using mediaplayer function? Looks like (2024.9) pyatv 15.0 broke that as well for me.

No - I only use TTS with my HomePods & HA.

Both TTS and sounds (.mp3) no longer work. Enclosed is the debug log.

Both TTS and music not playing for me now. Was working perfectly before update. (Apple HomePod )
Music player seems to show the music is playing but no sound coming out of the HomePod mini.

I have not looked into it yet, but I suspect a crypto problem somewhere.

Nope - been working perfectly since the pyatv issue was fixed. If you're having issues with your HomePod, try removing the device integration and add it back again.

I'll give that a try. Thanks! I don't have any errors. TTS actions are successful, but there is no response on the HomePod. I'll report back after re-adding.

Removing my HomePods from HA and re-adding them fixed the issue. Thanks again @Chuppa!

This issue reappeared for me after upgrading all my devices to iOS 18, but deleting and re-adding the HomePods fixed it.
