Comfy has excellent functionality and just a terrible and inconvenient design that turns the creative process into a chore for programmers and not artists. |

If you're new to ComfyUI, you should install the extension. |

You can use Flux in the Unet version or "checkpoint" version, depending on the model you have downloaded. In the examples page you can get the all the models and workflows. To share models with other UI's see here: To use GGUF models, you need this extension: You will get a new custom node to load GGUF models ( placed on your Unet model's folder ). |

To improve the GUI, I recommend these extensions: cg-controller https://github.com/chrisgoringe/cg-controller It allows to duplicate nodes, in dockable windows, so you can build a more "traditional" GUI, for each workflow. See discussion here: #5408 ComfyUI-Custom-Scripts https://github.com/pythongosssss/ComfyUI-Custom-Scripts Among many other features, it has custom nodes to load checkpoints and loras.
rgthree-comfy Among many other features, it will add nested combo boxes to all ComfyUI native loader nodes ( e.g. ControlNet Loader ) It also has a custom node, to load multiple loras in a single node. This node also allows to get Civitai info, for each lora. |

To get high-quality-previews of the image, while generating the image, you need to add these models: https://github.com/comfyanonymous/ComfyUI?tab=readme-ov-file#how-to-show-high-quality-previews You can enable previews directly from the "Manager" extension ( mentioned above ) |

To get the Adetailer in ComfyUI, you also need an extension. These extensions are from the same developer of the Manager. https://github.com/ltdrdata/ComfyUI-Impact-Pack |

To get IPAdapter for SD1.5 and SDXL, you need these extensions: https://github.com/cubiq/ComfyUI_IPAdapter_plus The "essentials" extension, it's from the same developer and it has many nodes, that make it easier to work with ComfyUI and IPAdapter. |

I am a ForgeUI user, I don’t know that for GGUF models you need to load nodes, I don’t know that they are placed not in checkpoints but in unet. When detected, you can automatically offer to load nodes and move the models to the folder where they belong.
Please tell me how to enable Lora preview in Comfy desktop? I saw this in the presentation version. Also download nodes, which ones?
