I installed Howdy from the recommended fedora repo sudo howdy version using the beta version because of the whole PAM thing. When I run howdy test I get a good image no problems with cam. The problem is when I open the laptop and try to sudo the prompt does not show up. I have tried running #711 this script but I get the same error.

Logs:

  • `Dec 20 20:09:17 fedora sudo[235144]: PAM unable to dlopen(/usr/lib64/security/pam_python.so): /usr/lib64/security/pam_py>
  • Dec 20 20:09:17 fedora sudo[235144]: PAM adding faulty module: /usr/lib64/security/pam_python.so
  • Dec 20 20:09:17 fedora sudo[235144]: ishaanpatel : TTY=pts/0 ; PWD=/root ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/bin/bash
  • Dec 20 20:09:17 fedora sudo[235144]: pam_unix(sudo-i:session): session opened for user root(uid=0) by ishaanpatel(uid=10>
  • Dec 20 20:09:21 fedora sudo[235144]: pam_unix(sudo-i:session): session closed for user root`

I've searched for similar issues already, and my issue has not been reported yet.

Linux distribution (if applicable):Fedora 41

Howdy version (sudo howdy version):Howdy 3.0.0 BETA
