Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The data munging takes up a decent chunk of the basic example. We should try and simplify this one to "get data and write it".

Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like us to use an online dataset (namely Penguins) and simplify the data munging to a simple filter and groupby perhaps. This should clarify that gptables only handles the writing part.

More complex examples also need improving. They could use open statistics - read them in and rewrite with our formatting.
