No problem.

About the rotating disk. First you need to download the cdArt for your specific album from https://fanart.tv if it's available.
Then you need to rename it to cd.png or cd1.png, cd2.png etc and put it to the root folder where your music album is.
Finally in Georgia-ReBORN's top menu go to Options -> cdArt settings -> Spin cdArt while songs play and activate it.
Now the cdArt will spin in the Details panel.

thanks for your kind words and yes it's possible to add more tags in the metadata grid if you want.
There are two ways to do that:

You can either use the topmenu bar Options -> Configuration File -> Edit configuration file
Or go to your foobar2000\profile\georgia and open the georgia-config.jsonc with a text editor ( e.g Notepad++ ).

Now go to the section "metadataGrid" and add a new label, name and value. Best would be to just copy an existing one
and rename the fields, e.g { "label": "Encoder", "val": "%encoder%"}, Be sure the last label in the metadataGrid does not have a comma after the bracket }

Then save the config file and reload the theme, it should show in the Details panel afterwards.

You can now change all available font sizes in Georgia-ReBORN. Please download again the master zip from this
Github page and replace your existing profile folder in your foobar.

Now to change Metadata Grid font sizes, go to the top menu:
Options -> Change Font Sizes -> Details

There you have all available options to choose from.

Dear TT, I keep mesmerized by your extraordinary theme, and finding little things to support your job, one thing I've found is that the country flag for EU (Europe) IMAGE LINK is not present in the display, it's not a really important thing, but as many albums appears under "released in EU", I thought maybe it was a good idea to tell you. the EU flag is present, type "European Union" in the %ARTISTCOUNTRY%.
You can see all flags in foobar2000/profile/images/flags

Added the option to also show the artist in the info grid. It is disabled by default.
You can activate it in the top menu Options -> Details -> Show artist.

You need to download the latest master.zip and replace all your files.

I don't understand what you really mean...

Because if you go to Options -> Player controls -> Show artist country flags
and deactivate Show artist country flags, ONLY the release country flag will be visible.

Also if the width of the info grid is too small ( Player size 'Small' ) the release country flag will not be shown,
if you have Player size 'Small' try to switch to a larger Player Size -> 'Normal' or 'Large'.

Maybe you have an old version of Georgia-ReBORN, try to download again the master.zip and replace all your files from the zip...

Hello TT, just to ask if it's possible (in the Details view) to remove the Artist from the lower bar (to see only the tracknumber and track name)... as I've chosen to see the artist in the upper bar, it will leave more space for some other info (composer, notes, etc.) Many thanks in advance !!

I've found some artwork works better in 600x600 px than 1500x1500... I've always thought that more resolution was better, but... would you recommend some artwork specifications, resolution, etc. in particular?

Just use multiple values in the LABEL tag, in your example: Epic; Alcon Sleeping Giant; Sony Music
Then you need to right click on the LABEL tag and click "Split values" and hit OK.
After that reload the theme, now in Details, all 3 label logos should be displayed.

You can change the fonts in georgia-main.js from line 51 to 61.

Btw, I would not do it right know because I will release a BIG important update which I have worked for the last
3 weeks and the file structure is changing, so you would need to do a new clean installation anyways...

This update will also contain the new options what you have asked for ( option to disable artist, title in lower bar )
and much much more!

I have released on Github a BIG important update which I have worked for the last 3 weeks!
Please make a new portable foobar installation due to file/folder changes!
If you have playlists, backup your playlists-v1.4 folder in profile and replace it with the new existing one.

Georgia-ReBORN still doesn't have an official public release, it was a beta version all along,
so if no further bugs will be reported this update could very well be the first release!

multi-values for the %RELEASECOUNTRY% is not supported and would also not make much sense because:
%RELEASECOUNTRY% = The country where the edition of the CD/Vinyl was released.

This means if a new remaster/deluxe/special edition was released, from which country of the based publisher has it been released.
I am not aware of multiple release countries for the released CD/Vinyl of the specific edition...

Only 1 flag for the %RELEASECOUNTRY% tag is being displayed, for %ARTISTCOUNTRY% ( band members ) it is up to max 6 flags.

Yes I have read your message. I've tried all possible combinations and unfortunately I can't reproduce the crash with Reborn/Random theme. From the crash log it points to when playlist content changes, i.e when adding/removing songs from the playlist or when using the library and double clicking on albums. It can be a possible problem and conflict with the scrollbar height/thumb when playlist content changes...

Hi,

I've never tried the UPNP browser and if it's a user-component and not a script, it's not possible to do that.
In this theme, you can only directly implement components that are purely written in JavaScript.

But you can use foo_chronflow and make a floating panel with the UPNP browser.
Or make another SMP and add it in the Columns UI layout, but it would look ugly as it will be on the right or bottom side of the theme...

I think this may be revised with the existence of foo_flowin and/or JSplitter. The latter allows to display more windows within the same panel and these windows can be fully managed via JS. So technically Georgia doesn't need anymore to be limited to single panels.

For ex. you could open a child window with a playlist manager, which can be hidden or closed within the main window (thus not totally independent).

Flowin panels may also be hidden/shown via JS calling main menu entries, and they would allow totally independent windows.

I know your design intents, but I would also find interesting to be able to use Find & Play for ex. in an extra window, while all being integrated in the theme. With current tools is finally possible without cluttering the UI.

never tried, but you could install Wine for Android and run foobar and the theme in it.Installation would be the same as you would install on Linux. I guess for a smart phone, only Artwork and Compact layout would work...

Only if your music track has the %BPM% tag and lower bar right click -> Display > Use BPM is active.

Of course you can, right click on a track > Properties or Alt + Enter.
On the left bottom side click + add new and write BPM. In the value field type for example 200.
Click OK and right click on your big album cover art somewhere > Reload theme.

For the next track try a value of 50 to see the difference.

Had a play around but I just don't like it so have gone back to the normal progress bar. I was hoping I could get it to look and act like one in the CaTRoX theme that I used before using Georgia-ReBORN:

Right click on lower bar > Peakmeter bar. Right click again on lower bar > Style > Vertical.
If you have a decent CPU, I would set refresh rate to 60 ms or 30 ms. You can also play with the "Size" and "Decibel range" settings.

I have used a full basic wine, I have changed nothing on it. I've used the apt one, not the one on snap. I am using Ubuntu 22.04.

I expect that I have to install something there so the panel works.

I did only came up with audio playback stuttering when using a very slow/old CPU and it is fetching new photos from the Biography when it is not in the cache. When fetching is done, there is no audio stuttering. But as I mentioned only on a VERY SLOW CPU that is at its limit when the player is in 4K resolution...

But over the years I have read on HydrogenAudio forums ( this thread? ) that there are SOME ( rare case ) audio issues in Wine.
Most likely because Wine users are using a very old Wine version ( 6 ).

Also, is there a way to make shortcuts work even when the focus is not on the (Wine) foobar?

I do think that it is only possible when using a third party software for hotkeys.

Hello TT, thank you for creating this awesome theme! I have poked around in the settings and found that you can create a nice looking transparent effect by toggling the "alpha transparency" setting in the UI hacks plugin with right combination of styles. However, the panel is usually too bright after doing so and needs to be toned down by lowering the theme brightness. There's also some rendering issues with white text if the panel picks a really bright colour. I don't know if the text rendering can be fixed in anyway, but is it possible to add more settings for further lowering the theme brightness? Sorry this is a rather long comment!

Ok, the UI Hacks component's transparency feature will never work. It completely removes all backgrounds with its colors making the GDI+ anti-aliasing worthless. To make the anti-aliasing work properly ( without the black and white outlines and halos on the text ), it needs background color to apply its method. So there is no way to make it work with GDI+ that SMP is currently using. A big MAYBE if TheQwertiest would implement the Direct2D renderer but I still think anti-aliasing needs background color nonetheless.

Unfortunately there is nothing I could do about it because of technical limitations.

Hi @gnihtytterp,

there are already options to display the artist, title and album in Details.
You can access them via top menu Options > Details > Metadata grid > Show artist, Show track number, Show song title.

Hello, I just have found this theme and I'm in love with it. Such a great job!
There are only two minor things that I would like to ask if it's possible or if it will be added in future releases.

1. I have a library with more than 600 artists and I'm using the "Show artists" view with their photos. Is there a way to load all the pictures from the Biography at once? Since I've been using the theme for only a couple of hours now, my art_img cache folder is very limited and I didn't want to click on the biography tab for every one of them to fetch the pictures.

2. Is it possible to have some separator on the track time that's on the lower right corner of the player? Right above the progress bar. Something like 0:41 / 3:28

Hi @theoqrz,

glad you like the theme. It is not quite possible to download biographies for all artists at once.
You would hammer the servers by the requests and get eventually blocked, we do not want that to happen.
But I have implemented an auto-download mode for the biography and lyrics.
There is a 5 sec timer interval for the biography to play a new track for an artist and then shuffle to another artist.
The lyrics has a 15 sec timer interval that does the same to fetch the lyrics for the tracks.
It works the best if you leave your PC unattended for a longer period of time and when you come back,
all the stuff has been downloaded.

Actually I am finishing refactoring the whole code base. When I have uploaded it on Github,
I will let you know how to add a separator for the time.

Just one more question: is there a way to show the artists names in 2 lines when using the Library tree in pictures mode? Some names are showing truncated due to their length.

It is possible but I won't do that because it would make library's grid metrics look weird.
Example, if there would be only one or two artist that would display truncated text in two lines there would be gaps,
padding issues and would not look good when other artist would have only one line. It would look even more
bad if you would scroll to the next line of artists. For truncated text, you can use the mouse hover on text for tooltip.

WilB, the original dev of the Library is in the making of implementing the itunes design.

I am runing on Artix (dinit) full portable FB2K-GR. You don´t need Wine installed on your PC or any wine-32libs. I am runing 160-180 mbs runtime of FB2K, prefix, wine, wine drivers (mdac28, gdiplus, wsh57 and gecko), and GR-theme on tmpfs (in RAM).

I'm searching for weeks to find it, but I can't find it anywhere.

System: Ubuntu 22.04
I have installed wine and also I have this theme on windows installed, but I like Linux better.
Win is a way slower than Linux.

Where is a problem ? All what you need is:

1. check your 32bit:
   eventuel: (sudo) dpkg --add-architecture i386
   (sudo) apt update
   sudo) apt install libc6-i386

2. Create your new WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=/your/path/what you want (ex. WINEARCH="win32" WINEPREFIX="$HOME"/foobar2k)
   WINEARCH="win32" WINEPREFIX="$HOME"/foobar2k wine wineboot

Note: $HOME = your user directory
WINEARCH = working environment for 32 or 64 bit program
WINEPREFIX = working environment for your program
$PWD = shell path your current directory

3. Download foobar2k and unpack in PATH your choose: (ex. "$HOME"/foobar2000)
   p7zip and wget or curl needs to be installed (apt install p7zip wget ... or curl)

4. Setup foobar2k in wine:
   WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="$HOME"/foobar2k wine "$PWD"/foobar2000/foobar2000.exe
   After start of setup, you need only gecko driver to install, you don´t need fat mono package driver (skip mono) .... and exit

5. Now you need the wine drivers a runtimes for running foobar2k with GR-theme, install these in PREFIX with winetricks:
   WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="$HOME"/foobar2k winetricks gdiplus
   WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="$HOME"/foobar2k winetricks mdac28
   WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="$HOME"/foobar2k winetricks wsh57

6. Dowwnload GR-theme, remove profile in fb2k and replace with profile of GR-theme:
   wget -q https://github.com/TT-ReBORN/Georgia-ReBORN/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
   unzip master.zip
   rm -rf "$PWD"/foobar2000/profile
   cp -r "$PWD"/Georgia-ReBORN-master/profile "$PWD"/foobar2000

7. GR-theme has own fonts, you need copy these in your $HOME/.local/share/fonts directory:
   cp -r "$PWD"/Georgia-ReBORN-master/profile/georgia-reborn/fonts/Linux/* "$HOME"/.local/share/fonts
   rm -rf master.zip

8. Done. You can start foobar2k with:
   "$HOME"/foobar2000/foobar2000.exe

9. Conclusion: (in my example)
   You have installed also wine32-bit on Ubuntu (multilib wine)
   You have 32-bit prefix for fb2k in you home directory
   You have original Windows program foobar2000 with foobar2000.exe in your home directory called foobar2000
   You have installed all required drivers in prefix for running foobar.exe
   You have replaced profile (from original setup of foobar2000_v*.exe) with profile of GR-theme

Next step is optional, you can create desktop launcher or the new entry in your startmenu or panel for you foobar2000.exe
You can also add foobar2000 icons in the $HOME/.local/share/icons directory, or your foobar2000 launcher (foobar2000.desktop) in the
$HOME/.local/share/applications directory.
I don´t know, how independet is wineHQ in Ubuntu, I have created my own portable foobar2000 runtime independent of Linux distros, which runs from every directory, don't need 32-bit architecture with 32-bits libs, root rights, own prefix or installed wine-32/64 on PC. Full package ist only 160-180 mbs "fat" because I don't need waste my PC with 2-3 gbs wine's environment for running foobar2000 with GR-theme.

Ubuntu is a good start for exiting from Windows spy-/bload-/ware OS, but Ubuntu isn't good enough usable for future.
Here some experience from internet:
"Ubuntu took some questionable decisions in the past, like shipping a release with with some sponsored applications like Amazon already installed, or enabling telemetry by default instead of asking the user for an opt in approval. Lately they've been pushing hard on their Snap ecosystem and basically got rid of Flatpak in favor of Snap"
I like clean modern, fast, smooth, tiny, robust and secure independent system, without systemd, snaps, hidden telemetry, commercial or goverment sponsors and so on. Maybe, you can later try such Linux like Artix, Void, Devuan = systemd-free Linux distros, without such built-in "goodies" like in Ubuntu, Suse, Fedora, etc.

it's not supported because there is no space available for various player sizes with its layouts.
If you still want to try it yourself, you can open your foobar2000\profile\georgia-reborn\scripts\Base\gr-main.js file
and go to line ~850 and replace it with your pattern:

I didn't spend time to play around to adjust it, but this is a good start.
You would need to adjust the x-position (0) and width (this.ww).

I think this is a waste of time, a better solution would be to make your own entries with patterns in the Details panel.
In the Details panel you can add your own entries, if you want to try it, open your foobar2000\profile\georgia-reborn\configs\georgia-reborn-config.jsonc config file and go to section "metadataGrid": [
Now enter your name ( "label" ) and pattern ( "val" ) here:
