Quick summary

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time crashes ~2s after showing the initial loading screen.

  • Launches with PPU Decoder = Interpreter (static)
  • Disabling Asynchronous Memory Manager does not help
  • Completely removing the ~/Library/Application Support/rpcs3 directory and RPCS3 cache files (clean state) didn't help either

Reported within the log window:
F {PPU[0x1000000] Thread (main_thread) [0x00644c6c]} SIG: Thread terminated due to fatal error: Segfault reading location 0000000000000475 at 0000000104341034. Emu Thread Name: 'PPU[0x1000000] main_thread'.

Tested on MacBook Pro, M1 Pro, MacOS 15.2

Other details

  • This crash does not occur on the x86_64 MacOS build.
  • A Segfault crash also occurs upon launching The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy [BCES01503] after choosing one of the game tiles to launch.
