Nested Tags dont show the document in sub-class

I remember early plugins where the main class could show files in subclasses, e.g. The main class contains files from the 1.1 subclass and 1.2 subclass if the content tree is

1. Main class
   1.1 Class 1
   1.2 Class 2
   .....
   And the subclass only contains its files.
   But now the 1. Main class only presents itself files
