Sometimes, people share on Reddit what they call "workflow"* along with the SD images they have generated.
That is very useful to the community as we all learn from what other people have done.
The problem is that people often forget to capture some of the settings they've used, and so it's very hard to reproduce their configuration and try to achieve similar outputs.
Some of those settings are automatically captured in the image metadata, which is accessible via the
PNG Info
tab, but that's an incomplete set of configuration parameters, and it requires an extra step to access. Humans are lazy, and the extra step gets in the way when it's a matter of sharing. So I thought it would be useful to have a feature (or an extension) that achieves two objectives:
I'm thinking about a dedicated plain text file (with the same name of the associated image) that captures a snapshot of the A1111 configuration (the part that matters for the image generation), but maybe there are other implementations.
This text file could be generated automatically, via a default in the Settings, or manually, via a button.
Going forward, if/when we'll expand from "simple" configuration parameters to actual workflows* performed via a node editor, this feature could also save the node editor pipeline. But that's for another day.
*In reality, what they are sharing is the configuration of A1111 or another web UI (e.g., Model, CFG Score, Steps, Sampler, Upscaler).
A "workflow" is the sequence of actions you execute (manually or via an automated pipeline) to achieve your result.
