Changelog with explanations

I cant be the only one who watches the commits, but I dont always know what is implemented. It would be nice to have a changelog that explains how to use the new features, one sentence per change might even be enough.

For example the new addition in the X/Y plot, Clip skip. I might have a rough idea what it is, but I have no clue what values are needed in the input fields. The wiki isnt probably updated fast enough.

That being said I really appreciate the speed of progress of this repo and what the devs do for us. Its really great
