Metadata Editor

So whenever I use Photoshop to edit a picture it destroys the metadata so I was thinking that having a way to quickly restore the metadata from the original file would be amazing to have. It could be a simple copy button from original, drop the new one and paste, then save. If you could do manual edits would also be even better. That way we can add stuff like scripts settings and other notes... And about that it might be wise to add those things automatically too.

On Windows, I'm using TweakPNG.

It just works well.

Yes I use that little tool too. Just thinking it could be very handy that you could simply drop the original then the edited and do a metadata transfer. It would save so much time.

The PNG Info tab has a lot of room for additional functionality. So, probably a couple buttons "Store from txt2img" and "Store from img2img" and an edit field for additional notes? The workflow would be something like:

• drop original image
• "send to txt2img" button
• drop edited image
• add pertinent notes
• "store from txt2img" button

That seems to match the workflow you describe. The first two steps could be skipped if the information is already present in the interface.

• drop image
• right-click on metadata, select copy
• drop edited image
• right-click, select paste
• save

It doesn't seem like a time saver for your use case, but I can imagine other use cases.

Yeah after testing the app more in depth I see the difference might not be substantial but having a single tool for everything could be a good addition IMO. Thanks a lot for replying because I wasn't using it as efficiently as I see I can now.
