Any idea what it means? Happens within a few seconds of hitting generate.

Try updating, I believe this was an issue with the updated k_diffusion package, that has since been fixed.
In stable-diffusion, make an "updater.bat" file, put git pull inside, and double click the bat file to update conveniently
