Can we get the Layer Mask feature in Automatic1111?

I think this one feature can bring revolution to Automatic1111. Still, there is no way to replace one object with another directly in Automatic1111. We have to use other tools to place an image on another image, and then we can modify them through Inpaint Sketch or any other method. But if we can do this directly in Automatic1111, it can beat many image editing tools without any doubt.
So, would developers consider this feature?
