[Android] Opening Magnet Link or .torrent doesnt work #1382

Describe the bug
If you open magnet 🧲 link with the android app there will be error

OR if you open .torrent file using app, nothing popup/happen.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Magnet error:

  1. Click on magnet links from browser
  2. Select app
  3. See error

.torrent does nothing:

  1. Open .torrent file with app
  2. App open but nothing happen

Platform:

  • OS: Android 13 OnePlus 11
  • Browser: Brave

P/S:

  1. Link work on transmission remote app and nzb360
  2. First time using app, so I might be doing the wrong way?
  3. I have 3 servers bind on the app

Hey @aqsede,

I had the exact same issue (also using Brave and OnePlus) and found a temporary workaround by editing my Dockerfile and switching themes.

However, a couple of weeks ago, I revamped some of my setup and started using NPM (Nginx Proxy Manager) for some of my services, including Transmission. With NPM, I also added Https certs from Let's Encrypt to switch my services from HTTP to HTTPS. Now, uploading both torrent and magnet files works flawlessly.

I believe the switch from HTTP to HTTPS fixed the issue
